COMMENTS FROM THE OWNER : I purchased the vessel in December 1991 and secured a mooring at Portland. For a number of years the vessel was used for local sailing only, mainly between Portland and Pt Fairy. In 1998 a trip was made to Adelaide and the regional ports around (St Vincent Gulf, Kangaroo Island, Pt Lincoln). After that the vessel was tied up at St Vincent Marina and has been at that location since. A number of trips to Kangaroo Island have been made in the last year or so. The yacht has never been sailed hard since I have owned it and all equipment has been inspected regularly and repairs made good where necessary. I have made a number of additions to the vessel including : HF radio, GPS, Solar panels, extra battery, outboard engine for dingy, hand anchor winch, extra anchors, Webber cooker, larger propeller, improved interior lighting and other items. The vessel is to be sold as it stands and all sundry equipment and tools will be included. There are also spares and materials I keep at home which will be included. Comments in the survey relating to the hull refer to small areas at the bow and stern which have been repaired with epoxy. The affected areas are now stronger than the original materials. Also the hull surface below the water line may not be up to racing standard in some places but the surface is well sealed with sufficient antifoul paint to last for the next 18 months.
COMMENTS FROM THE BOAT BROKER : Fraser, the owner is a life time friend of mine and although now retired, is still my accountant. Fraser is 'Mr Fussy' - everything has to be in good working order and the boat must be ready to go at any time. Age and an ever increasing interest in bowls and golf mean the time has come for his baby to go. Don't miss out on this top cruising yacht that was built to last a couple of life times.
